The bus takes between 3:15 and 3:50 hours from Cardiff to Victoria Station and you still have the transfer to St. Pancras.
Train needs between 2:02 and 2:07 hours to Paddington, the transfer by London Tube takes 55 minutes. So that should be the easiest way to go.
You can also buy direct tickets to include the Tube transfer on the Eurostar homepage.
