This made-for-Samsung SGH-a257/a177 bundle gets 5-stars mainly for the price. Go to any retail store and you would be needlessly paying much more, especially as individual units.
If I were reviewing these items individually, I would say that the silicon sleeve would only get 4-stars. I own the SGH-a177 and the fitting is NOT a snug fit. The cut-out areas feel especially flimsy (near the edges) and I wonder just how durable those spots are. However, someone’s review on the same individual sleeve mentioned that it was “cumbersome” and, to no offense to the author, I would disagree with that choice of adjective. Regardless of the somewhat “loose” fit, the sleeve stays in place, is lightweight, just the right thickness, has a great “rubbery” feel to it, and I am confident that it should provide enough protection. My phone is often in my packed laptop case and the sleeve stays on, thus, it does what it was designed to do. For the price, one would expect much less quality. If you are thinking short-term, which is practically synonymous with technology these days, then you cannot go wrong with this bundle.
The cables fit perfectly into the phone and, to my surprise, the car plug. Worth noting is that the shipping process took less than a week. Finally, I should mention that I noticed this package sold out shortly after I purchased it and it took them a few days to restock… basically, get it while it lasts!
